TinyBuild, both a developer and publisher, recently made the decision to sell its quality assurance wing, Red Cerberus. This division now finds a new home with TestFly, a testing firm that acquired Red Cerberus for $1.5 million in cash following the deal’s closure.
Kevin Chelius, CEO of TestFly, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition: “We’re really excited to bring Red Cerberus into the TestFly fold. Their skills, solid reputation, and extensive industry expertise are perfectly in sync with our aim to push the boundaries in game testing. Acquiring them boosts our mission to assist developers and publishers in delivering reliable, top-notch gaming experiences worldwide and also enhances our foothold in Latin America.”
Alex Nichiporchik, the head of TinyBuild, also shared his thoughts: “Letting go of Red Cerberus is a significant step towards refining our focus and honing what we excel at: developing and expanding outstanding intellectual property. Red Cerberus has played a crucial role in our journey, and I want to express my gratitude to the entire team for their hard work.
“Redirecting resources to our core creative processes will enable us to maximize our revenue potential in the long run as we launch new game IP titles. We’re thrilled about the potential games slated for release in 2025 and are optimistic about the future prospects of TinyBuild.”
