Alright, so, picture this. I’m sitting there, just sipping my coffee, when boom, the Honkai: Star Rail version 3.4 livestream rolls in. It’s like, clockwork or something. Anyway, everyone’s all hyped up, and what’s the buzz about? Yeah, you guessed it: new characters. The folks at HoYoverse know exactly how to keep us on our toes, right?
Ah, the big headline – wait for it – the Fate/stay night crossover event! This thing’s like a unicorn. Announced last August, back when Fate/stay night got its fancy English remaster. Seriously, feels like we’ve been waiting an eternity. But hey, almost there now!
Hold up. Quick side note: cookies. Who likes them? Because apparently, you need to fiddle with your settings to see some content. Technology, man, what a ride.
So, new characters. Saber’s making her grand entrance as this 5-Star Wind/Destruction hero. Got her own banner and everything. And Archer, a 5-Star Quantum/Hunt character – freebie alert! Just log in, and bam, he’s yours. Heads up, they’re gonna be around longer than usual, all through to Version 3.6. That’s like, till November-ish.
And you know Phainon, right? Maybe you don’t, but here’s the thing: he’s finally playable! Been hanging around since Version 3.0, chilling on Amphoreus. He’s packing a Physical/Destruction kit, by the way.
Now, here’s where it gets crowded. There’s gonna be like, six rerun banners. Call it a party or something. Tribbie, Sunday, Sparkle in Phase 1. Firefly, Jingliu, Blade in Phase 2. So, if you’re looking for new faces mid-update? Nope, not happening. But seriously, look at that lineup. It’s wild.
And oh, Stellaron Hunters – they’re getting some tweaks. New mechanics, Eidolon effects for Kafka, Silver Wolf, Blade. Even Firefly’s dressing up with a new outfit. Jingliu’s skills are getting a little boost too, crossing fingers she doesn’t go rogue. But, who am I kidding? Maybe she will. Could be epic.
Mark your calendars. July 2nd – 3.4 drops. Switches things up again on July 23rd. If you missed it live, check out the VOD – no excuse now.
Rewind to May, where Version 3.3 showed up with Hyacine, The Herta coming back, and uh, that second phase with newcomer Cipher. Oh, and voice actors – a bit of drama there. They swapped out some voices due to this strike thingy with SAG-AFTRA. Big studios, actors, all that jazz. Still waiting on what’s up with characters like Dan Heng and Himeko.
Alright, that’s the gist of it. Chaos everywhere but in the best way possible.
