Man, Sega’s really been stirring the pot with this new demo drop for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. Just hit the Nintendo eShop for the Switch if you haven’t seen it already. It’s a 2D action platformer, very actiony, very platformy—you get it.
So, you’re tossed straight into Oboro Village. Kinda feels like walking into chaos; everything’s out to grab ya or trip ya up. It’s like a "welcome home" from hell for our guy Joe Musashi. He’s the dude with all the ninja creds, coming back to find everything’s charred and his people turned into—wait for it—stone. Yeah, stone. Bit dramatic? Maybe. But it’s this whole revenge gig he’s on.
Oh, and in the demo, you get some bonus moves early on. They say it’s a sneak peek—or maybe just a way to hook us in. Can’t say for sure.
Now, let’s chat about what makes this game tick. The artwork’s a showstopper. Collaborating with Lizardcube means it’s gonna be wild visually. A dozen stages or so, each one popping with colors—from military bases to deserts that probably fry you as you stand there. Platforming puzzles too, which, full disclosure, might cause some hair-pulling moments.
What’s a ninja game without some ninja flair, right? They’ve queued up the Katana Oborozuki, some Kunai, and a whole bag of tricks—Ninjutsu and Ninpo, if those ring any bells. Apparently, you can chain these moves into combos that just don’t quit. Like, really go ninja or go home.
On top of that, Joe’s collecting all these amulets and magical tools to open up paths or conquer the enemy. Guess it’s all about being a ninja master—isn’t that always the way?
Mark your calendars, folks. August 29, 2025. That’s when it drops worldwide on the eShop. Just one date for everybody; no weird staggered releases, thankfully.
And hey, there’s supposed to be a trailer and some screenshots floating around if you’re into that. But honestly, why read words when you can see ninja madness in action?
