This week, the Nintendo Switch eShop lineup is delivering quite the variety to keep us entertained. We’ve got some classic SNES game treasures, fresh beats for the Nintendo Music app, enticing sales, and a host of new titles ready to make their debut.
Step back into the glory days of the SNES, as the Switch Online collection is enriched with four vintage entries from the developer Koei. First in line, we’ve got "Nobunaga’s Ambition" and its follow-up, "Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness," originally released in the early 90s. These games bring Japanese history to life, plunging you into the Sengoku period. It’s your mission to reunite a fragmented Japan, and the path you choose is entirely up to you.
Following that, we adventure over to China with "Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire," a strategic masterpiece from 1994 inspired by the famed historical novel. It’s all about tactically navigating the tumultuous era of the Three Kingdoms.
Rounding out the journey with Koei’s classics, there’s "Uncharted Waters: New Horizons." First launched in 1993, this European-themed gem combines sailing and trading, capturing the spirit of the Age of Discovery.
Switching gears to music, the Nintendo Music app grows its collection, albeit in a peculiar fashion. This week, only a fragment of the "Kirby and the Forgotten Land" soundtrack lands there—23 tracks, to be precise. Let’s hope the rest will sail in soon.
The eShop isn’t done yet, with a raft of new titles also setting course to arrive this week. Among them is "Which Way Up: Galaxy Games." For insights from the developers, Turtle Flip Studio, check out last week’s Pure Nintendo Podcast and get excited for our coming review.
So, with all these new additions, what captures your fancy this week? Share your thoughts and tell us what you’re diving into!
