PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members are really in for a special year, with four exciting games set to join the service’s Game Catalog right at their release. Among these is FBC: Firebreak by Remedy Entertainment, a multiplayer first-person shooter now teasing a release window in Summer 2025.
Set within the enigmatic headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control known as The Oldest House, FBC: Firebreak transports players back to the world of the critically acclaimed game, Control. However, this time Remedy Entertainment is switching gears from its traditional lore-heavy storytelling to hone in on gameplay. They’re steering clear of the often criticized FOMO (fear of missing out) strategies common in live-service games. Impressively, all the game’s content will be accessible without cost, and players can dive in and enjoy at their leisure.
A new trailer has just dropped, showcasing the Paper Chase Job, which is one of several intriguing missions in FBC: Firebreak. In this mission, the Firebreak Initiative is tasked with ridding a part of The Oldest House of a peculiar infestation—rogue sticky notes. The trailer also gives us a peek at the loadouts players will have at their disposal to combat the pervasive threat of the Hiss.
Upon its release, FBC: Firebreak will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, both via the Epic Games Store and Steam.
Besides FBC: Firebreak, three more games will enrich the Game Catalog from the get-go. Among them are Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. The first installment of Lost Records is already accessible for PS Plus Extra and Premium members, with the next part launching next month.
Moreover, PS Plus subscribers get the additional perk of early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. So right now, they can snag great deals on popular titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6—definitely something to check out!
