So, check this out—
I stumbled onto this wild deal for Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam. Like, seriously, it’s only 99 cents until June 2. I mean, what? Apparently, it’s part of this whole Zombies vs Vampires Fest thing. Ugh, I kind of love/hate themed sales, but whatever, right? And they’ve even tossed the original game in the mix for the same price. Two games for practically nothing. Why am I even excited? I’ve played them a million times, but hey, nostalgia’s a trip.
Oh man, Left 4 Dead 2. It’s been around since, what, 2009? Wow, like 15 years, and it’s still holding up, rating-wise. Not even kidding, people are still all about it with those "overwhelmingly positive" vibes. I don’t know, maybe it’s the chainsaw. Who doesn’t like a good chainsaw?
Fun fact—I got sidetracked earlier looking up chainsaws. I could ramble on about that, but back to the game. It’s basically the first game amped up, with new zombie-smashing toys. Baseball bats, anyone?
Here’s a thought—could be that it stays relevant because, I dunno, people love a team-up shooter? Or like, it’s just fun to whack zombies. Whatever it is, it’s been dragging gamers in forever. Also, it’s Steam Deck Verified now, so you can totally smash zombies while lying on your couch. Radical.
Did I mention there’s chatter about bringing this oldie to Xbox Game Pass? Big deal if it happens. It’s one of those “wait and see” things, but it’d be wild to see if Microsoft bites and goes for it.
By the way, not to veer too much off course, but there’s more on-sale goodness like Red Dead Redemption 2. For real, trying not to blow all my cash. Who knows how these sales affect player numbers—not me for sure. But, yeah, guess we’ll find out if Left 4 Dead 2 snags more fans with this mega-sale.
Anyway, back to pretending I’m not going to buy games I’ve played before. Urgh.
