Did you manage to snag a pre-order for the Nintendo Switch 2 last night or earlier today? If so, I’ve got some exciting news: Sonic will be racing onto the scene with other beloved characters on launch day. SEGA just revealed that “SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS” is set to drop on June 5th.
Sonic is joining the likes of “Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut” and “Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S” as premier titles for the Nintendo Switch 2 launch. You can now secure both physical and digital pre-orders for all three games.
In “SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS,” you’ll experience a brand-new story campaign starring Shadow, showcasing unique abilities that highlight why he’s deemed the Ultimate Life Form. Plus, you’ll enjoy a fully remastered version of the much-loved “Sonic Generations,” a thrilling time-bending adventure packed with classic 3D and 2D Sonic stages, enhanced visuals, and fresh bonus content.
“Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S” invites you to dive into exhilarating puzzle action! Players can expect an exciting “Puyo Tetris Doubles” mode for intense 2v2 battles on a shared board, enabling strategic combos. It also offers various local and online modes supporting up to four players, with a lineup of 40 charismatic characters, including Sonic, each bringing their own special skills.
The “Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut” brings the celebrated origin story of the Yakuza series to the Nintendo Switch 2 with an enhanced edition. This version presents new story cutscenes, introduces an exhilarating “Red Light Raid” online multiplayer mode where you and your friends can battle waves of enemies, and includes voiceovers in English and Chinese, along with subtitles in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.
You can also pre-order “RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army,” which launches on June 19th. Plus, look out for “Two Point Museum,” which will be joining the lineup later this year.
