Oh boy, where do I even start with this one? So, picture this: today—yes, this very day—we get the big ol’ reveal at the Summer Game Fest kick-off. If you’re an Arc Raiders junkie like me, you were probably biting your nails hoping for, well, anything. And guess what? We got it. Sort of. Ever since May, when the second Tech Test wrapped up, folks have been, like, obsessed. Weird to say, but the game was already so slick back then that some people were like, “Just release it already!”
Now, today wasn’t the big “here’s the game” moment we dreamed of, but we did snag a release date—so that’s something! October 30, 2025. Save the date, my friends. While some of us were crossing fingers for another beta moment (spoiler alert: not happening soon), all those poor souls who missed out on Tech Test 2 just had to deal with FOMO, living vicariously through streams and articles. Must’ve been rough, huh?
Anyway—oh! So, the release? It’s gonna be on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S. And this ain’t the same old-same old from Test 2. Supposedly, they’ve jazzed it up a bit, but what’s new? We’ll see. Personally, the game didn’t need much tweaking; it’s got vibes—a real throwback to those golden PUBG days. You remember?
Oh, and a little side gossip! Seems like Embark and Geoff Keighley are best buds. Throwback to when Arc Raiders was just a baby co-op shooter, doing its debut dance at The Game Awards 2021. I kinda miss those early days, ya know?
The studio behind this magic, Embark, dropped another game, The Finals, out of nowhere at the 2023 Game Awards. It’s almost like they’ve got a knack for surprises. Anyway—wait, back to today! We totally knew something was brewing for Arc Raiders at this Summer Game Fest. And bam! We weren’t disappointed.
