Whoa, okay, so there’s this game called Roadcraft, right? Made by Saber Interactive—same folks who’ve been churning out those off-roading simulators. You remember Mudrunner from back in 2017? Yeah, like that. Snowrunner? Same deal. They just keep refining, you know? Like, trying to make driving through mud or snow a zen-like experience or something.
Anyway, their latest brainchild—Roadcraft—dropped last month, and it’s kinda gripping. Yeah, I said gripping. I mean, it’s got this whole construction vibe with a crazy attention to detail. Like, you wouldn’t think virtual construction would be that satisfying, but here we are. Apparently, it’s doing well—Focus Entertainment, the publisher peeps, are over the moon about it. Said it’s one of their “most successful launches.” Seriously, no kidding.
So my buddy Ed (great guy, a bit too into these sims, though) wrote this review. Called Roadcraft a game that can turn the dullest topics into something you’d actually enjoy. The construction side of it apparently gives you this rewarding feeling you don’t get from blowing stuff up in an RPG. Didn’t see that coming.
And hey, it’s not just Ed. Loads of folks are digging it. The player numbers on Steam? Through the roof on launch day. Even Pushup—or Pullup, whatever they call it, some parent company thing—made a big deal about it in their earnings report. Something about having over 600,000 players already. Pretty wild, huh?
The CEO dude, Geoffroy Sardin, made waves saying how Roadcraft had an “excellent first few weeks.” Yeah, sure, bet he’d say that even if the game was terrible, but maybe he’s onto something this time.
Oh, and there’s this YouTube clip floating around—thumbnail’s got that guy with the bright green sunglasses, you’ve probably seen it.
So if you’re curious about Roadcraft, maybe it’s worth a download on Steam. Or just wishlist it—I know how that goes. But if you’re not into that, they’ve got more games—sandbox stuff or building games, you know the type.
Keep up with us on Google News or hang out on Discord. There’s always someone rambling about something interesting in there. Anyway, catch you later, I guess.
