Respawn just threw out another update for Apex Legends. You’d think, with all the changes in the midseason update — Season 25’s overhaul — they’d take a breather. But nope. More tweaks, more balancing. They’re relentless like that. Seriously, the game is like a living, breathing thing that needs constant attention. Who am I kidding? It totally does. And players are, as always, watching every move.
Apex might not be as hyped as when it debuted, but hey, still pulls over 100k daily on Steam alone. That’s not peanuts. People love the quick thrills and spills, and Respawn’s always cooking up something new to keep ’em hooked. This round? Guns have taken the spotlight. Again.
You’ve got changes to the Devotion and EVA-8. I think the gun nerds’ll be buzzing. Devotion’s getting dialed down. Bye-bye, “improved scaling” from barrels and stocks. Magazine’s now sitting at 48 rounds, down from 52. Probably means less spray-and-pray for the LMG lovers. The Devotion’s been on quite the journey, huh? They tweaked it majorly at the start of Season 25—some said it got “clunky.” Maybe too clunky? Ah, who knows.
The EVA-8? It got beefed up—more damage per pellet now, but it also slows you down. Bit of give and take there. Plus, the shiny purple and gold bolts? They’re now on par with the other shotguns.
And hey, Arenas: Duels got a facelift too. Apparently, players only glow during countdowns now—whatever that means. Makes it sound less like a Christmas tree scenario, which could be good. Faster pacing to make it feel punchier, you know?
Seeing how all these shifts settle into the game’s meta mix will be fascinating. Some folks are relieved the Devotion’s getting reined in. Others? They want more. As always, opinions are all over the place. Makes me think of a buffet line. Too many options. Anyway, time will sort it out.
