Crimson Desert’s totally getting pushed back again, out into 2025—and yeah, it’s kinda turned into this common joke among fans. Remember, it was hyped up back in 2019? But we’re still here, waiting, like we’re stuck in some weird time loop. Now folks are told to hang in there a bit more.
Oh man, where was I? Right, let’s ramble about its rollercoaster ride from being a prequel MMO for Black Desert Online—then poof! Suddenly it’s a single-player RPG. People keep saying it’s got this Dragon’s Dogma vibe. Or maybe it was Tears of the Kingdom? Honestly, who knows anymore. But, delays have been the one thing that never changed, always lurking in the shadows.
Anyway, I think—it was Q2 of 2025 when Pearl Abyss decided to break hearts again, saying it’ll drop (or maybe it won’t?) in the first quarter of 2026 now. Wasn’t it just December 2024 when they said 2025 was our year? Yet here we are. Goes to show how plans can sail off course when juggling voiceovers and console certification with random external partners. Go figure.
Oh wait, hold on. In June, someone was all like, “It’s coming November 2, 2025!” But Pearl Abyss just laughed and said they hadn’t spilled anything to anyone. So yeah, no November surprise, just a meh kind of letdown.
And here’s the kicker—there’s this tiny sliver of hope where eager gamers might nab a chance to try a demo at Gamescom 2025—later in August? Must double-check that. Seems like the game’s juuuust about ready, except for a few tweaks. What’s a bit funny though, it creeps closer, but still leaves us hanging, itching for that full drop.
Gosh, I wonder if by the time it’s out, will we still care? Or will it be another tale of too little, too late? Stay tuned—and confused.
