Okay, so I somehow found myself diving into the IREM Collection Volume 3 for what feels like the zillionth time—when did I even start this gig? ININ Games, Tozai Games, Ratalaika Games—they’ve teamed up again. Honestly, it’s like they’re on a roll with these blasts from the past. Volume 1 had us revisiting Image Fight and its sequel with X-Multiply tagging along. Then Volume 2 came out and, bam, it’s 2024, throwing GunForce and its sequel plus Air Duel on a Nintendo Switch. Now we’re at Volume 3. Feeling a bit like a broken record here but—cue dramatic pause—Mr. Heli/Battle Chopper, Mystic Riders, and Dragon Breed. Bam. Three shoot ’em ups. In a row. Are we ready for this sort of marathon? Maybe, maybe not. Beats me.
