Nintendo just rolled out this update for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom—yep, we’re now at version 1.4.2.
So, what’s new? Well, they’ve been tinkering around with the Zelda Notes on the Nintendo Switch Online app, especially if you’re on the Nintendo Switch 2. Maybe it’s just me, but the whole update feels like a mystery solved. Anyway, they threw in some bug fixes too—hopefully making our Hyrule adventures a bit smoother.
Right, the juicy bits—The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Update Version 1.4.2 Patch Notes:
For all you Nintendo Switch 2 folks, they’ve tackled the Zelda Notes problems. Funny thing, there was this pesky issue where your Daily Bonus effects like “Health Recovery” or “Hearty Meal” wouldn’t activate if your hearts were maxed out. No idea why that slipped through, but hey, it’s sorted now. And, who doesn’t like a hearty meal?
Apparently, they’ve ironed out some more Zelda Notes glitches too. What exactly? Beats me. But the mystery lingers.
By the way, you’ll need the latest update to mess around with Zelda Notes stuff.
On the general side of things, they fixed that awkward silence when the background music decided to skip certain battle scenes. Flashbacks to when my playlist just stops mid-song. Sigh. A few more tweaks happened here and there to keep the gameplay vibes flowing—hopefully without tripping over unexpected bugs.
And that’s that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some questing to catch up on.
