Bungie has finally given us a glimpse into its highly anticipated extraction shooter, Marathon. Today, for the first time, we got a proper look at the gameplay, and the excitement is already building. In this thrilling game, you’ll step into the shoes of a Runner, essentially a cybernetic mercenary with special abilities. You and your team, made up of up to three players, are tasked with taking on hostile AI security forces and competing Runner teams. As you navigate this dangerous world, you’ll collect a variety of weapons, implants, and other equipment, and if you make it out alive, everything you’ve gathered is yours to keep for future escapades.
Imagine dropping into a zone with your teammates, ready to snag as much loot as possible before making your exit. It’s not just AI you’ll face, but other teams too. The goal? Survive and keep everything you collect, turning every run into a test of strategy and skill. For those who crave even more of a challenge, there’s an option to ride solo, tackling teams on your own and extracting with all the precious loot single-handedly.
