Are you eager to finally get your hands on Dune Awakening after all the buzz? Well, you’re in luck! You’ll soon have the chance to dive into the game during a free open beta weekend happening from May 9 to May 12.
To join in, you’ll need to either add the game to your wishlist before May 9 for a shot at playing, or snag one of the numerous beta codes the team will distribute throughout the weekend. It’s open, but only if you’re fortunate enough to gain entry—a sort of semi-open invitation, you might say.
Interestingly, this beta arrives just a few days before the game’s initial launch date of May 15. The release had to be delayed while Funcom fine-tuned everything, ensuring a seamless experience.
During the beta, you’ll be able to explore the first two regions, promising around 20 hours of gameplay if you really dig in. You can investigate some Research Facilities, test out early abilities from various classes, and even engage in a bit of PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a perfect teaser of what’s to come. If you’re curious about our take, check out our new preview of Dune Awakening, which dives into this same part of the game.
Excited about the open beta? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
