Oh man, here we go again with the Xbox updates. If you’re an Xbox Insider, guess what? You’re about to see some new ways to jazz up your Home screen. Not like a major makeover, but those little tweaks that make you nod and go, “Yep, that’s better.” Starting this week. Yeah, finally.
So, what’s cooking? Basically, the list where you see the games and apps you just played—it’s getting a little style upgrade. Three new settings, to be precise. No idea why this fascinated me so much, but here we are.
First, you can now hide those pesky system apps that no one ever uses. I mean, do we really need them staring back at us every time we boot up? Focus on what you actually care about, like that game you keep saying you’ll stop playing but never do.
Oh, and here’s something cool. You can pin up to three of your faves right up front. Think about it, your go-to games right there, waiting, like loyal puppies. I almost said “goldfish,” but they don’t wait, do they? Anyway, moving on.
Then there’s this deal about reducing tile count for a slicker look. Less clutter, more zen. Still working the kinks out, but it should pop up soon-ish.
Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha folks, you get first dibs. Lucky ducks. Toss some feedback our way, will ya? It’s like a direct line to Xbox’s brain trust, kinda.
Now, why should you care? Well, Home should feel like, you know, your space—just like your room, only less messy. It’s about time Home reflects what you love and tosses the rest into the digital abyss.
Oh, and if you’re feeling chatty—or complainy—there’s the whole Report a Problem thing and Xbox Insiders subreddit. Seriously, jump in. Your voice shapes Xbox’s future.
Thanks a ton to all the Xbox Insiders out there for being relentless with your feedback. If you’re one of those insider-types craving help, head over to our trusty subreddit. Plenty of peeps there ready to lend a hand. Just, do us a favor, and check for existing posts before starting a whole new drama thread.
You can dish your thoughts directly to Team Xbox too. Ever think about that? Maybe do it. And to keep up with the latest Xbox Insider news, Twitter’s your buddy at @XboxInsider.
